Saturday
I did a little cleaning this morning. That always takes me to a happy place when it's done. I love a nice, clean, picked up house. *smile*
Hey, ask the Mister about his new found love for Gain. Uh-huh. It isn't just me. He is singing the praises now, too. (He used it to soak the car mats. He is cleaning up both of our other cars to sell.) Anyway - - he's digging the way it took out some tar and stuff. Rock on, Gain.
Hey Donna - - speaking of love for the green... We need to get together sometime next week. I'll hook you up with your prize. You lucky thang...
Okay. Brief. I need to hit the shower so I can shave my legs. Pool time tonight.
Enjoy the rest of your Saturday. And - - your time with the Father in the House on Sunday. Oh yeah...
Thursday, June 26
And the winner is...
Congratulations ScrapbookD!! You were were the 20th comment on the RAK post and the first official winner of my RAK give-away. You guessed the prize, too! Part of it. It's a Gain Lovefest. Detergent and Fabric Softener. (I guess you'll make it a priority to see me now, huh? Tee hee hee!)
Thank you all for playing. It was fun. You never know when I'll do it again...
Happy Stalking!!
Smooches all around...
Pic of my new ride...
Grease
Can't sleep.
So - - I shall instead tell you about a new love in my life. It is XM radio. Oh my heavens. Where has my life been before this? An entire station dedicated to 80's music? One to 90's? Fox News all the time? And during Basketball season, if a game isn't on television, I'll bet it's on XM. Seriously folks. I. am. in. love. *deep, loving sigh* It's like my whole world just makes sense now.
Dang it, that wasn't long enough. I'm getting me some stinkin' pico and chips and I'm gonna watch a little Will and Grace. By golly. I deserve it. Don't I? I can taste it already. Yummy. jealous? You should be. It's fabulous!!!!
I'm out now.
Buenas noches, mis amigas.
There's a new sheriff in town...
I won't show you his before pictures. Blood makes some people squeamish. Besides, we didn't get photographs of most of the blood anyway. By the time we were able to snap a few pictures, it was down to a very slow trickle. This is in the E.R. around 10:00. The two pieces of tape are covering the two gashes on his forehead. They were pretty deep. No stitches though. Just some dermabond. The orange/yellow looking stuff is more glue to help hold the tape which is covering the two spots.
They bribed him with a Popsicle. It worked. He was quite the trooper. Not a tear one during his treatment. (Several tears before hand though. It sure broke this Mommy's heart.)
I'll bet he had quite a headache though. He is in bed and asleep. No concussion.
That E.R. doctor and nurse at Shannon rocked. I'm just sayin'.

The *BIG* news!!
Let me first say that ten years ago, heck, five years ago, I swore up and down that I'd never own a minivan. Let me eat those words big time. Right now.
That sucker is freaking awesome, man. It is fawesome. My sister made fun of me. Maybe because she is still in a leased two door that she can't get out of (coughcoughdorkcoughcough). She says she would never drive one either. Good for you then. I'm rocking on with my minivan bad self. This thing is featured to the hilt and I am LOVING it!!
I'll take some pics tonight and post 'em later. Then - - oh, oh. Maybe a naming contest. We'll name my new car!! Let's finish the current contest. Then we'll do that one. K? Remember, you have the rest of today and all of tomorrow. Post a comment under the RAK entry for it to count! You can comment here, too. But it doesn't count toward the contest.
Can I get a "rock on" for my '08 Honda Odyssey?
Yeah, baby!!

RAK Time!!!
On Friday morning, I'm going to use a number generator to draw for a winner. What will you get? Who knows? But won't it be fun trying? Out of town? Go ahead. Play, too. I can use snail mail to send you the prize. What should you comment about? I don't know. Wherever the wind blows you. Have fun with it. Tell me your favorite color. Tell me about your first kiss. Talk about how in love you are with your children. Tell me about how blessed you are by God. Tell a joke. Just keep it clean. (Remember, my parents read this stuff.)
Don't forget to sign your name. First name and last initial will be fine. Do you dare let me know that you are reading my little tidbits?
Now come on. Who wants to have some fun? Are you just saying that you want to have fun or do you *really* want to have some fun?
Go.
My Male Nurse
So good. I looked forward to every time he came in my room. I was so scared that I would say something stupid. I have the tendency to just "run off at the mouth" anyway. Add some drugs to that and *presto*. You have some shameful flirting. I was careful not to do that. I kept telling myself to crank up the filter. Be hyper aware. Don't embarrass yourself.
I finally couldn't take it anymore. He smelled so stinkin' good. I wanted to get some of whatever he had for the Mister. So I asked him what he was wearing. I told him that I was sorry for asking, and please don't think I'm flirting. (He was wearing a wedding ring, too.) He kind of grinned, turned a little red and then told me that it wasn't cologne at all. He said his wife washes his clothes in Gain. Aha!!!! I knew I loved it!!
So, the next time you think I'm on crack for loving Gain - - think again. That stuff rocks my world. It just smells so good. So, so clean. Even he said that he gets compliments all of the time.
Take a look at my washer and drier:
Isn't this a fabulous site? They now make the Gain "he" in the convenient dispenser bottles. So I snapped up two bottles of it. More liquid fabric softener and another box of sheets.
Ain't life grand?
Now go. Go buy some Gain. Be happy and smell good.
Sunday, June 22
So where have I been?
Luckily I snapped out of it in time to scrap. (Insert the Church Lady from SNL saying snarkily - - "How Convenient!") I always love scrapping. And I got to scrap with my church peeps. Mucho good times there. I actually got two pages done and started a third. (For those that don't know me, that's incredible. I visit a lot and usually get little done. So this was quite the feat.
Saturday started out okay - - but went downhill fast. It really sucked for H. (Pray for her - - would ya?) Her hand, a big rock and the front end of my dad's tractor did not make for a good combination. Let's just say that after some surgery on Saturday evening - - we hope she is on the mend. Seriously - - please pray for her. We love her a lot and want her to heal. (Love, love, love you H!!)
Later that evening, I was watching the Olympic gymnastic trials and watching my boys do somersaults in the living room when an all too familiar pain struck. I started watching the clock (as if I was timing contractions.) I finally bit the bullet and told the Mister. That's right. I got stoned. Again. It was about 9:30 when my Dad picked me up to take me to the E.R. We figured taking the boys there was just not an option. (Thanks, Dad!) He dropped me off. No sense waiting there with me. I was there, hooked up to an I.V. (fluids and drugs) until around 2:30 a.m. That's when R came and got me. She was my hero. I had called and asked her before Dad even dropped me off. She was one of my (many) friends who chewed my butt out for not calling last time. She said she was happy to do it. And I am so very grateful to have friends who would do this for me. So - - Thanks, R. Really, really, thanks. (I wonder if she ever thought it would be 2:30 in the morning though. She still would have done it!!)
Today, it's been about passing stones. Two of them. Good times. I'm feeling much better now. I'm about to fold some laundry.
Someone remind me tomorrow to tell you about my experience with the male E.R. nurse. It's a funny story. I'd tell you now, but this post is entirely too long and I doubt many of you are still reading anyway. Besides, why not have a little something to look forward to?
Ciao!

Wow - - No hints necessary!!!
Here's what it is. I combined my love for the following two products to make one Super Product!!!
I wanted this:
But I wanted it to smell like this:
So, I created my own with this:
I have safely used it to freshen up sofas, chairs, bedspreads, seatcovers and the fabric shower curtain. Now - - my whole house smells so fresh and clean. It makes me so, so, happy!!
You all had the right ingredient. But the first one who was right on about the correct use for it was "Maierhousehold." So - - she wins. I'll get your prize to you this weekend sometime!!! Thanks for playing everyone.

Time for B's Movie Review
Have you seen it? It won four Oscars. Best Motion Picture of the Year. It was listed under the "Thriller" genre. It had Tommy Lee Jones in it.
Are you at all familiar with a raspberry fart? That is my opinion of this movie. That is all I have to say about it. I won't waste anymore of my time typing about it. I wish I had the 122 minutes of my life back that I spent watching it.
*Me mumbling*
Best picture. Hmmmmph.
Sunday, June 15
A word.
It was as if I was the only one sitting in the sanctuary and the Father was speaking directly to me. Wow. I love it when the Holy Spirit moves.
The subject? Forgiveness. "Forgiving Others - Overcoming Bondage"
Bondage. Who wants to be caught up in that? That's exactly where I have been.
Forgiving others. I can *so* do this. I really can. And - duh - it just never occurred to me to actually do it. It doesn't mean I have to forget. But it will change the way I remember it - - when I do.
"For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Matthew 6:14-15.
I was also reminded that others might need to forgive me. (Ouch.)
I have a whole new perspective on forgiveness. Offering it. Receiving it. Accepting it. Learning from it. Not letting it create bitterness. Bitterness was my bondage.
It felt so good to leave it at the altar today. To pray with a friend and leave it there. It feels good to be free.
What a beautiful Father's Day. My Heavenly Father, once again, showed me how much He loves me.
I am blessed.

See you fans tomorrow.
Goodnight.

My Moment of Insanity - - I'm lucky to be alive!
Meet Moe.
That's right. I brought a kitten home. I sort of (quite mistakenly I might add) thought the Mister was breaking on the whole "can I please have a new kitten" thing. I was wrong. He didn't think it was funny, nor cute, when I brought him home on Sunday. That's right. I said him. I got a boy this time. (Boys rock. They are much better snugglers and a lot less, umm, how do I say this nicely? Less - - okay, I'll say it. Boy cats just don't seem to have the attitude that girl cats do. You with me?)
Mr. B was *pissed off* at me. Understatement. Huge understatement. Now - - I think he is slowly digging him. He loves cats. He really loves kittens. He just said he doesn't want to be known as "those people with all the cats." I promised him that this was it and he wouldn't be inconvenienced. The girls are his. Moe is mine.
Why Moe? Did you happen to notice that huge "M" on his forehead? Look again. Isn't that adorable? And Moe - - well, he does act like a stooge. And now I can call Justin and Cameron by Larry and Curly. Heh. Me so funny.
He is so sweet. He already cuddles with me and he seems to have fit right in with our family.
*sigh*
I love him.

Defensive Driving, part deux

Tuesday, June 3
The best Dad EVAH...
B takes her blogging skills to Defensive Driving
- ~Is that an actual functioning VCR?
- ~I have *never* taken pleasure in sitting on the front row of any class. Not getting there early bit me in the butt. (I just had to stop and get that tea from McAlister's.)
- ~Who talks this fast? I'm catching like 25% of what he is saying.
- ~I'll bet that chicken spaghetti I made for dinner is tasting pretty de-lish right about now. I wonder when the pizza is supposed to get here?
- ~Why yes! It *is* a functioning VCR. Complete with a low budget video straight from the early 80's and some bad acting.
- ~There are 25 people in here. Thank God I'm not the oldest. Lots of teeny-boppers. There are a couple of girls who think they are the shiz. Hooray for them. *eyeroll*
- ~Stupid Officer Ganz. Motorcycle cops - - blech.
- ~According to our little textbook, I am a middle aged driver. AAAAACCCKKK! 26 - 54 falls into that category. Nice.
- ~This DWI video is just as low budget and equally as lame as the earlier video.
- ~I have to pee. In order to do that, I have to get a key to the bathroom. I know - - Did I just slip back into a 1976 gas station bathroom? Will the key be on a Chrysler hubcap, too? No thanks, if they need a key for it, I don't need to be in there. I'll hold it. Or pee my pants.
- ~Hey Lady!!! You are *so* in my bubble. Scooch on over a bit, will ya? K - Thx.
- ~Instructor Dude - - We are not friends. I was your bank teller from way back when. Like in '92. Quit acting like we are buddies. Everyone here probably thinks we get together and play cards or something on the weekends. Eeeeewwww.
- ~The collection of the old cameras in here are kind of cool. My instructor is kind of a photog in his other life. However, the collection of plastic coffee thermoses - - creepy!
- ~Okay, okay. We get it. Don't drink and drive. This is the longest video ever. The longest, crappy video ever.
- ~I still have to pee. Badly.
- ~Oh, for the love of all that is pure and holy - - who is smacking their gum? WHO IS IT??? AAAAACCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!! Oh, the irony - - it's the bubble violator sitting next to me. Girlfriend has no idea what I do to smackers. Sister is about to lose her gum. And it ain't gonna be pretty.
- ~Dismissed? Really?
One more night. If I weren't sitting on the front row with the instructor chatting me up like we were BFF's for life, I'd take me some good reading in there with me. But alas, it's not in the cards for me. I am going to take a picture of those coffee mugs though. So weird.
Time for bed. This has been enough excitement for one day.
Be thankful for safer roads. I used my signal on the way home tonight. Now if our city cops would just follow some of their own rules...

B's Movie Review
Yes, I know. Huge sigh of relief on your part.
The sad thing is - - both movies have been out. For a while.
Saturday night the Mister and I watched Deja Vu with Denzel Washington. While not very realistic (How much of Hollywood is realistic?) it was very good. It pulled together quite nicely at the end. Very action packed. Val Kilmer was also in it. I'd been meaning to see it for quite some time, but never felt "the urge" to see it. So - - I wasn't disappointed by anything. No major let downs by high expectations. The B movie rating - - "A-."
Sunday night (tonight actually, even though this post will read like it's Monday - - yes, yes, it's late) I turned on P.S. I Love You. Okay. That guy was H.O.T. Both of them. Not Harry Connick, Jr. I thought he looked pretty crappy. I'm talking about the Irish guys. Dude. Rawr. It had a cute ending. Other than that - - the movie was downright DEPRESSING. Seriously depressing. All I want to do right now is go and snuggle with my man. But he's asleep and he snores. Also, Cam fell asleep in there tonight. I need to move him. Ugh. I digress. The movie. I think that I've wanted to see this one for so long and I expected SO much out of it that it really flopped for me. It made me work over a lot of "what ifs" in my head. "How would I feel? Would I cry for that long? What would I do? Wow - - The Mister would never even think to send me letters." That kind of stuff. Just left me in a funk and I don't like to be in a funk after movies. While I adore Hillary Swank and I totally felt her pain in this movie (perhaps a little too much), I can't give this one a must see recommendation. The B movie rating - - "B-."
Okay - - that is all.
Goodnight my dear stalkers. I mean fans.
Smooches all around.
