Whew...
I think they are an obnoxious, foul-mouthed team.
I also can't stand how arrogant my sister acts. She doesn't even follow basketball. But I would never have heard the end of it and I was not looking forward to that. She called the other day, before the Spurs were eliminated, and said, "Go Spurs Go." Then she followed it with, "down the toilet." I nearly hung up on her.
However, they have both been eliminated now. So - - meh.
It's the Lakers and the Celtics. Circa 1987. Reminds me of being back in high school. Only back then, I was rooting for the Lakers. This time - - I'm thinking green.

A New Day
I'm in a much better mood!
I know that this world doesn't go round and round because of basketball. Especially the NBA. I really got into it again. Very invested. Not monetarily. Just mentally.
But this morning I woke up and realized that I really do have lots of great things to look forward to. Some really, really great things.
We are taking the kids to Sea World next week. I hope that's a great thing. I love Sea World. I think my kids will love Sea World. I just hope I still love Sea World after spending the day there with my children.
The week after that is VBS. I get tired just typing that. I LOVE VBS. LOVE it. But there's just something about having to be there at 8:00 in the morning... I don't ever have to be anywhere at 8:00 in the morning. Much less - - have two kids ready and there at 8:00 in the morning. That part is trying. Everyone says, let the kids nap. They aren't at all familiar with my kids, are they? Cam will. But Justin? No. He has no part of it.
The best part of my YEAR will happen on the 17th of this month. My two best friends and their children are coming home for six months!!! They are going to live about a block from my parents. I. Am. Pumped. Please pray for Ang's health. She is having some complications and needs to see a few doctors stateside to get things straightened out. I am overjoyed at the prospect of getting to spend the summer with them. Lots of pool time, morning trips to Starbucks, movies, Wii tournaments - - life will be good.
Also - - Ang is just awesome. She is just rock solid. She makes me want to be a better person. She inspires me to be a better wife, mother, daughter, friend, and especially Christian.
So - - yeah. Life is good. Life is real good.

*sigh*
I really am heartbroken. I love my Spurs. I'm going to miss watching them.
I actually had a couple of tears run down my cheek.
Life goes on. Anyone recommend any good movies?
A new pet - - of sorts.
Don't Move to Alabama...
Pissed me off a little more. Part of me hopes the Spurs crack open a can of whoop ass tonight just 'cause they can. The other part of me hopes it ends quickly so that I don't have to listen to this fool open his mouth again.
I wonder if TNT is under serious contract with him as an analyst. Idiot.

Better Mood Today
Ugh. That was a tough pill to swallow.
Isn't it crazy that I get so invested in that game? This is going to sound crazy, but in a way, I almost look forward to it being over. I look forward to watching movies again.
Okay, that is all. I just didn't want anyone to think they needed to draw up the commitment papers for my stay in the nuthouse just yet.
(This does not mean that the lovefest on Kobe shall begin. Let the record reflect that he is a member of my Rainbow Coaltion of Suck.)
Tuesday, May 27
Arrrrrgggggghhhhh!
Joey Crawford - ref for the NBA
Kobe Bryant - current MVP in the NBA and one-man show for the Lakers
Charles Barkley - commentator for TNT and former player in the NBA
Go ahead and add the rest of the Lakers to the list.
I *hate* their attitude.
Did the Spurs play all that well tonight? No.
I just HATE the whole "show-boating." I hate their cockiness.
Ugh.
Yes, I'm bitter.
Technically it's not over. The Spurs are down 3 games to 1. They go back to L.A. on Thursday. While I'm a true fan, I am also a realist.
I won't deal with who I'm rooting for past this series. I shall jump off of one bridge at a time. I'll tip you off though, I'm not a Piston fan either.
*sigh*
Please don't agitate me. I am pissy about this.
I don't think I'm a sore loser. I just need some time to process this.
Go Spurs Go!!!!

Ahhhh....
I need to pack a few things in my car and then I'm off.
Yes, life is good.

I'm in mourning.
I fear it's going to be a long summer.
*sigh*

As if...
Waiting there for an hour to see the doctor wasn't enough...
Discovering that the drive thru was closed at the vehicle registration place wasn't enough...
Then - -
The Spurs blew a 20 point lead in the 3rd quarter to *lose* the game. They were ahead the entire game until just over two minutes left in the 4th. And they lost. It was a devastating loss. For me. I don't think they will panic. They can recover. But it still sucked. The Spurs should have won. They gave it away.
What a day.

Yes, yes, YES!!!!!!!!
Fart-Knocker
I'm referring to the "dude" who parked this truck in our alley. Thanks, Man. I turned into the alley and was heading home. I didn't realize this truck was unattended. People back into their drive ways all the time. So why should I think this time would be any different? I get up to it and nobody was inside it. It had a trailer attached to it with some dirt in it. Apparently, he was unloading it, by the shovel-fulls, into his backyard. And he was *not* in any hurry.
I sat there in my car for a second. Called him a butt head. He didn't hear me. But Justin did. And thought it was funny. Great. Such fine language I'm teaching my young.
I then threw it in reverse and laid on the horn. The man came out of hiding and just stood there and looked at me.
Dude, unhook your trailer and move your truck. You are blocking traffic you moron.
That's what I wanted to say.
But I didn't.
Why?
Because I'm only a bad ass in type. Not in person. In person, I'm a ginormous weenie.
The end.
Webkinz PSA
Yes, you are welcome.
(I only had to bug Husband for an hour this afternoon before he finally conceded and helped me figure out the problem.)
If you play **cough, cough* I mean if your kids play with Webkinz. Let me know. I'll own up to it. I have my own. Her name is Lady Pinkalish. I love her. She rides in my car with me. The only yippy dog I'll ever own. The stuffed, silent type.
Okay, Ambien is working. I'm feeling silly.
Goodnight.
Back from camping
I will share with you one story, then I *have* to go to bed.
You know how I am *completely* afraid of snakes, right? Let me re-phrase that. I am *deathly* afraid of snakes. Just like with tornadoes, I can feel my heart race just talking about them. When it comes down to it, I'd rather face a twister head-on than ever have to deal with a snake. Just sayin'.
So - - imagine with me, this: Our family, and the family camping with us, all decide to go fishing out on the dock. Good times, right? It was. I sat there and watched. Mostly to keep Cameron under control. Also, I don't mind the fishing part. I love the adrenaline rush of the tug on the line. I just don't like touching the fish. Just creeps me out. So, I squealed, like a girl, the few thousand times they dangled a fish on a line in front of my face. I just sat there, Indian-style, on that dock, and took one for the team. Cameron became a little much, so he and I went back to the camper. (He was none-to-pleased with this call, but that's another story for another day.)
We played around at our campsite and waited for Daddy and Justin to come back. When they did, Daddy had a little something to tell me. Apparently, right *freaking* under where I was sitting, lived a water moccasin. That's right. A snake. A huge freaking snake. Right under me. The whole time. I'm about to vomit just talking about it. (And I'm no fan of the puke either!) I can't believe it. Later, from quite the distance, I witnessed everyone bending down, looking beneath the slats in the wood, less than one foot from that poisonous creature. Did I mention I was sitting right on top of his home? I refused to go back out there again. I wasn't happy about my children going out there. At all.
I had completely forgotten about these snakes. It is entirely possible that I will never get in another lake, ever again. Ever. Screw water skiing, jet skiing, even boating. I am not happy.
Let's put it this way, I'd rather go do my annual, every day, for the rest of my life, than to ever even have to think about it again.
I was sitting *right* there.
*shudder*
Friday, May 16
Better - - I think.
*deep cleansing breath*
Game 7 is Monday night in New Orleans. It's win or go home. New Orleans is FABULOUS at home. Both teams have rocked the house on their home court. I hope the Spurs go and show them what they are made of. They *can* do it. The question is - - will they?
I just finished watching the season finale of E.R.
*insert crying here*
Hal Holbrook's guest spot just ripped my heart out. It made me miss GrandDaddy. A couple of scenes made me think of him. Sometimes I am haunted by being there that day. During those final minutes with him. What a bittersweet moment. - - Moving on now...
We are headed out in the 'ole R.V. tomorrow. Well, it's not really an R.V. It's a trailer. R.V. just sounds more cool. Good timing for us. Our garage door broke. We can't get either one of our cars out. It might have made for a long weekend, huh? The truck is out front, already hooked up to the camper. I've loaded everything but the stuff for the fridge. I also loaded everything on the list that we forgot last time. *smirk* We're meeting some friends over there. They left Thursday. Their spot is right next to ours. It should be tons of fun!!!
I'll post some pictures when I get back.
One last thing - - I have two friends whose hearts are really heavy right now with some big time stuff going on. My heart breaks for them. Will you please pray for my friends? And their families. I don't feel comfortable using either of their names on here without their permission. But you know what - - God knows their names. And he knows their situations. For we are reminded in Romans 8:28
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

*ugh*
I have.
It still makes me giggle though.
(By the way, the storm passed. Quick and painless. Whew. I hope it passes quickly for my other little paranoid friend.)
Oh No!!!
It developed while I was in the freaking shower. It was nice when I got in. When I got out, I thought I heard thunder. I was like, "huh?" So I walked in the living room. It is DARK in here. The radar has purple in it. The watches are warnings abound.
I have somewhere to be in one hour. Something I can't really get out of.
Somebody hold me.
Tuesday, May 13
Don't even ask me about it.
The loss.
The butt-kicking.
The "they were ahead by 3 and lost by 22" talk.
The way they are out-scored in the 3rd quarter every. single. game. at. New. Orleans.
I don't wish to discuss this further. So unless you want to seriously irritate me, don't bring it up.
They now *have* to win the next two to stay alive. Thursday in San Antonio. Monday in New Orleans. NO has won 18 of the last 19 home games.
Crap.
>:-o
He noticed
On that note - - I am going to go play some Mario Kart. Have I mentioned yet that I have a slight addiction? The kids are at school and I can play completely without distraction. I have a plethora of gold trophies, have unlocked several courses, new carts and players and am just generally kicking butt. That's right - - I rock.
I'd rather clean house when the kids are here. Right now - - I feel the need for speed.Monday, May 12
Look what I did for the Mister...
These are the kind of things I would *love* for him to do for me. Now *that* is living in a fantasy world. It's SO not his love language.
I'll let you know if he saw it...
Saturday, May 10
Today - - it was hot.
Time to take the inaugural jump into the 'rents pool. The water temp was 78 degrees. That may not sound cool. I can assure you that it is.
For those of us with a little extra meat on our bones, the cool water wasn't much of an issue. For poor little Cam - - I fear he was near hypothermia.
A good time was had by all. Except my dad. He was doing his election judge thing. What a good servant. He did get to hear Cam shout "Cannonball."
The J man can now turn a somersault in the water. He is quite the little fish. I think this summer is going to rock!
We are all zapped. The sun does that to you. Everyone is in bed except for me. Nothing new about that. I'm headed there now.
Goodnight.

Good Afternoon
I haven't really had anything blog-worthy to mention. I know several of you compulsively check my cyber-space so I thought I better throw you a bone before you leave me for greener pastures. You wouldn't do that. Right?
Today is Brado's birthday. Happy birthday, Brado! I never got to talk to him. He lives over on the other side of the world and making contact wasn't easy. If I'd called last night (which would have been the morning of his birthday) I would have been able to get him. But alas, last night I had a migraine and went to bed at 5:30 when Mr. B got home from work. So, I opted for calling first thing this morning. No answer. They'd gone to the main island for dinner. Buggar. Oh well. I texted him and I hope that will appease him until we speak again.
Today is also Miss Q's birthday. Happy Birthday, Miss Q!!! ***Muah*** Miss Q is one of the coolest friends I have. I wish I saw her more. I hope you have had a fabulous day, dahling.
I must run now. It appears as though while I was semi-conscious last night, one of my sweet children deemed it necessary to unload their apple juice on the kitchen floor. The mister said he wiped it up. Yeah - - it doesn't just wipe up. It's like the plague, that stuff. It smeared and now has a never-ending sticky presence. It is time to whip out the floormate and show it who is boss. (By the way, the boss is me.)
Have a pleasant evening. I plan to.
Smooches all around.

This makes my heart sing...
National Scrapbook Day
It looked like he and the boys did a little celebrating of their own, too. This house was a W.R.E.C.K. when I got home. While I admit it wasn't white glove clean when I left, it was picked up. When I got home, it looked like that F1 that had blown through town about a month ago had re-surfaced. Holy cow! I hope there had been some good times to reflect that mess.
I cleaned it all up during the second half of that wretched Spurs game. (We'll not discuss any more of that.)
I don't feel too good. As a matter of fact, if I hadn't already paid for NSD - - I might have skipped out altogether. Runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, achy. Just yuck. Lots and lots of yuck. So you can imagine how pleased I was to come home and have to clean up to the sound of my boys (Spurs) losing. I was not a happy camper.
I did get up and go to early church this morning. I'm glad I did. It was a great sermon. One that I really needed to hear. It was very encouraging. Let's just say that the Holy Spirit convicted me. Given a lot of the junior high dealings I've experienced lately. Yeah - - the preacher even talked about how we act like we are still in junior high. Heh.
Okay - - I'm going to take some snaps of my layouts from yesterday. I'm not going to mess with scanning. Too much trouble. But I've decided to start putting my work back on here. (Seeing as how I love the attention. I'll own that. :P)
Have a great Sunday afternoon.

Completely Inappropriate Joke
His wife is lying in bed and replies, "I think you'll find that's a sheep, you idiot."
The man says, "I wasn't talking to you."
Happy Birthday, H!!
Happy Birthday, Chica!!!! Have fun camping with your sweetie this weekend.
I truly value our friendship. Thanks for just being you.

Raindrops on Roses and Whiskers on Kittens!
Why on earth did I buy my tickets for the night before National Scrapbook Day?
*smacks myself on the forehead*
Thursday, May 1
I called it.
Let's see. I wonder if Mark had let Avery actually coach his own team if there would have been any difference. We'll never know.
I feel sorry for the next sucker who steps in to the shoes as head coach. I sure hope it's not Mike D'Antoni from Phoenix. Surely he knows better than to do that.
Hey Mark - - you seem to know a little bit about everything. And you're such a wannabe. Why don't you just go ahead and fill the role yourself? You do it anyway. Then you can add that to your list of life accomplishments. *smirk*
Have I mentioned lately that I can't stand him?
