He'll be four tomorrow.

Can you tell what he is *really* good at?

Don't judge me. It saves water and we were outside.
I have pictures of him doing it. But it shows his little bum. So I better not post that. Isn't he cute?

By the way, this was taken with my new camera. It came in tonight around 8:00. UPS delivers late. I had given up hope that it would be in today. It will be nice to have a camera in my purse again.

What's cookin' good lookin'?

What's for dinner tonight?

Asian Chicken and Noodles, here. It's a fave of mine and Mr. B's. The kids are wishy/washy on liking it. They are more than welcome to have some nasty canned ravioli if they prefer. *blech*

Tell me what you are having.

My Two Cents

I think that it is beyond tacky to use a glamor shot as an obituary photo.

Glamor shots are just tacky - - period.

There. I said it.

Good Morning!

At least I think it's good. Cameron is still snoozing (he's much like his mom) and Justin was up at the crack of dawn (much like his dad.) I am up because Justin is up.

I had so much fun at Bunco last night. I didn't realize how much I missed playing! They were a fun group of people. I knew a few of them and I met some new ladies.

I can't even begin to tell you how refreshing it was to play with them. They were - - nice. They were loud - - BUNCO!!! And nobody argued with me about table rotation. I was targeted in my old group because I was sort of the "founder." So, when someone didn't understand something, or had a problem, they came to me. It was usually stupid stuff too. And I think most of you know by now how low my threshold for stupidity is. About the same as pettiness. Take table rotation. One lady (in my old group) liked to pick fights with me every. single. time. over table rotation. It was insane. It got to the point where I wanted to replace her eyes with the bunco dice. I'll show you snake eyes... =] It was at that point that I decided it was in my best interest to step away.

Bunco should be fun. And it wasn't anymore.

Now it is again. And I really, really have missed it.

So - - to my new Bunco friends: thanks! I had a great time.

Be sure to read today's local paper...

My turn again. I want your honest feedback. Okay?

Please start discussion on the newspaper's site as well. It's helpful for them (the staff at the paper) to know that our articles are being read and (hopefully) enjoyed.

I'm excited. My second full article published. I think it's pretty cool.

Please comment here as well. I want your honest feedback. What kinds of stories do you want to read there? What kinds of stories do you want to hear from me specifically?

Thanks for going on this journey with me. I really hope it turns into something big someday.

Tonight.

I joined a new group. It was so much fun!

I'll blog more tomorrow. Right now I *really* need to go fold those two loads of laundry I've been putting off.
I'm thinking a little Will & Grace whilst I fold.

This Girl...

This is what I worked on this afternoon. I got the layout idea from the January '09 issue of Scrapbook Trends.

The paper and flowers are by Making Memories, Sabrina Collection. The chipboard letters are Scenic Route. The brads are also by Making Memories. The font is called "I Love Derwin." I think I got it off of Kevin and Amanda's site. (This is my go-to place for tons of free fonts!)

The subject: my sweet niece, Kyndal. The picture was taken on the deck of my parent's cabin in New Mexico. If you click on the picture, you should be able to read the journaling.

Thanks for looking.

Kindy - - I miss you!!!

The Movie

I just read a movie spoiler for My Sister's Keeper. I didn't think it would be a big deal since I've read the book. I'm glad I read it.

They *totally* change the ending of the movie. That frustrates me. That ending is what made that book so good. I don't know if I want to see it at night now. It's only going to piss me off to pay full price for it when I could see it at a matinee. Anyone want to do a matinee sometime this week?

For those of you going Monday night - - I just don't know if I want to. What do you guys think? I still would like to see it. I'm just not as excited about seeing it now.

Redemption

Karen Kingsbury's book. Tell me I will like it more. I've read the first three chapters and I'm not too thrilled. It gave me a nightmare last night. I dreamed that Mr. B did the same thing that the husband did in the book. I woke up with chills! Tell me it gets better, please.

Ugh.

I should never have verbalized or typed my desire to go to church.

Satan attacked. Justin woke up sick this morning. I'm not kidding when I say that his face was *green*!!! He tried to throw up a few times, but nothing happened. No fever, no other complaints. Just nauseated. He did go to the bathroom this morning, which never happened yesterday. I suppose that could have caused the problem. I don't know. I guess he could have been backed up. He seems to be feeling better. He ate a couple of dry waffles and drank some gatorade. All without incident so far. He's asking for lunch.

Regardless, we didn't get to go to church. I won't lie. I'm disappointed. And I'm sure it was an awesome sermon. I can listen to it online. But when I do that, I miss the praise and worship time. I love being led to the throne through praise.

We are going to take it easy today. No sense rocking the boat. We were going to go swimming. I just don't think that being out in the heat is such a good idea.

So, we stay inside today and enjoy the a/c.

The Fruits of my Saturday Labor

I didn't do anything extreme today. I stayed pretty busy though.

Luckily, Mr. B let me sleep in. He always gripes about it, but he never comes and wakes me up either. =)

In summary, this is what I did:

Folded and put away two loads of laundry (there are two more yet to be folded),
Tended to the pile by the phone in the kitchen (hello Mr. Shredder),
General kitchen duties,
Cleaned both bathrooms,
Swept the kitchen,
Cleaned off the counters in the kitchen,
Wiped down the front of the fridge with bleach,
and Washed and dried the car booster seat covers.

Nothing earth shattering. Or very visible. But I feel pretty happy with it.

I can't remember what all I listened to on my iPod. I do remember hearing several Michael Jackson songs. I don't care what your opinion is/was of him as an individual. I figure it's not my place to judge. What I do know is that he was the "Elvis" of my generation. I was surprised by his death. It definitely took my breath away. Have I lost sleep over it? No. Have I cried? No. Do I think the man sang some awesome stuff? Hell yes.

Oh - - another "celeb" issue I have. Jon and Kate. *eyeroll* They brought this crap on themselves. How would I act with a camera on me 24/7? I don't know. Because I'm not fool enough to put myself in that position. (I would like to point out that I've watched, in total, about 15 minutes of this show. Total.) They annoy me. They are so mean to each other. So petty. Her making him get hairplugs. Him going out to the bar with co-eds. It's ridiculous. They basically pimped their kids out for profit. For freebies. I wonder if it was worth it. It never would have been for me. I know some of you readers are fans. Fine with me. I'm not trying to step on your toes. To each his own... I feel sorry for those kids. They didn't ask for any of this.

Okay. I need to get to bed. Early, I know. I really want to go to church tomorrow. We've been very bad lately. And - - I just *want* to go. If these silly boys would just go to sleep already...

Ciao.

Reality Check

Sometimes it's the little reminders to be grateful. I was headed back to work from my lunch break. I sat in the parking lot in my car fo...
