Tuesday, so far = head still feels full of snot, nose stuffy with occasional sneezing, body aches, no fever though

Diagnosis? Who knows. I feel like doo though. A big steaming pile of doo. Expected? Yes. It's going around. Timing? Sucks. The big game is Thursday. I'm going. You hear me? I'm GOING.

I started a Z-Pack today. Please work. Please, please, please work.

What's that sound? I think it could be my Afrin calling me. Coming, sweetie.

Unified Party

Those Democrats...

*smirk*

Party unification at its finest.

*more smirking*

Anyone want to leap over to my side?

*winks to my Dem Friends*

Severe Weather Awareness Week

I am more than aware. You have NO idea. Or maybe - - you do.

Like my new diggs?

Cool, huh? I'm testing it out. Whatcha think? Comment away and let me know. Yes to keep and NO to dump it. I've just been wanting a little something different. Vote away everyone.

Taken out of context.

Stupid, stupid, stupid sub-standard newspaper. I got quoted. They made my quote the freakin' headline of today's paper. The HEADLINE! They took me out of context and made me sound like I was swooning over Clinton. Crap. Make it stop!!! They left out the part about how his speech wouldn't change my vote. They also left out my part about loving America - - which I felt was key to the respecting the office part. Not him. The office. Out of context. Out. Of. Context. Instead, it made me look bad. Or so I thought. Now the Repubs are going to disown me. Oph, you jinxed me. And you weren't even there. **laughing at myself** Never name names. **smacks self on forehead, repeatedly** Why did I give my name? Why did I give my name?

Not a big fan.

The circus rodeo is in town. Anyone know how I feel about this? Wearing boots, a hat and a buckle the size of a full-length mirror does not make one a cowboy. Or - - a cowgirl.

They have invaded our little town. The real cowboys - - they looks alright. The wannabe's? No. Please. It's insulting. And tacky. I believe drugstore cowboy is the correct term. Give me a break.

Mike - - I'm *so* not talking about you. Please don't beat me up. *wink, wink*

Let me repeat...

The man is no saint. Not by any stretch of the imagination. At all. Like I said - - I have a love for our country and a respect for the office. I wanted to see a former President in person. I think *that* part of it is cool. *That* is why I found myself so caught up in his speech. I wanted to soak up everything he had to say.

Respect for him personally? No.

It was still cool, though.

Ladies and Gentlemen...

Bill Clinton
I was completely captivated by him. Seriously. Before you panic, the answer is no. I'm not voting for Hillary. Although, he pled quite a compelling case for her. His speech was not condescending whatsoever. I'd heard rumors that he was that way. I'd heard that he was quite defensive. I found him to be quite good. He rarely glanced at his notes. No teleprompter. I'm telling you this, I'd want him on my side. He really sang her praises. Either he is a really good liar or the man really loves his wife. But, he convinced me today that *he* feels she really is the best candidate for the job. He referred to her as an "Agent of Change." Not just someone without a plan. He outlined her blueprint for change. Beginning with, of course, the war in Iraq. No surprises there. He also discussed Health Care for every American, re-vamping the No Child Left Behind Act and options for our fuel crisis (keeping the $ in America.) He also poked fun at our voting system in Texas. It is quite wonky. He was - - quite charming. The man was the leader of the Free World. And I got to sit in an audience and hear him speak. That's what I got so worked up about. I told a reporter after his speech was over this:
"I am a Republican and I am here. Why? Because I have an intense
love for this country. I also have an incredible amount of respect for the
office which this man (President Clinton) held. I couldn't stay away today.
History was made. I wanted to see the President and hear what he had to say. It was my right. And when would I have this right ever again in my life?"
They asked me if my vote my have been swayed by his speech. I said no. But I told them that I still hung on every word he said. He fascinated me. He truly did. I'm so glad I went. So glad. I got there shortly after 10:00 in the morning and was finally seated about 12:15. The President didn't show up until 3:00. He was an hour and a half late. It was worth it though. Harry took these pics for me. I was on row 7. He was on the front row. Another guy there who was on the front row has promised me copies of his pictures. He had his nice camera with him. I'll bet he got some real good ones. I got home about 4:30. I am wiped out. It was a draining day. Time for bed.

Oh Mr. Bill!!!!

Big news in Anytown, USA. Mr. "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" Clinton is coming here. Tomorrow. Now, I am a Republican. I've never made any bones about that. I vote Republican.

HOWEVER - -

I am dying to go see the former POTUS speak. Why? Because he is a former President. That's why. It's our history. I may never have an opportunity like this again. I don't know. I might. What if I don't? So - - I'm taking my Republican self down to City Hall and I'm going to listen to his speech. Yes, he is campaigning for his wife. I don't care. I'm going down there with my 35mm camera and a super-mega lens in tow. I'm going to listen, respectfully. (I have *some* class. I won't boo or be an idiot or anything.)

The mister is somewhat mortified at the mere thought of my attending. Why would I want to go? Someone might see me there and *gasp* think I'm a Dem. I don't care. I want to hear what he has to say and see him for myself. History in the making. It's an election year. It's big. I'm excited. A former president. I think that's cool.

(Psst. By the way -- I did not vote for him. Just sayin'.)

I will report back here, hopefully with a picture or two.

Reality Check

Sometimes it's the little reminders to be grateful. I was headed back to work from my lunch break. I sat in the parking lot in my car fo...
