I'm trying to pack...

It's not fair and it just ain't right. Just sayin'.

Dang it, Yoda. I didn't have time for this...

Which John Hughes Character Are You?

Busy, busy, busy!

I have lots to do. And the Spurs play LATE tonight. Not just any game either. They play Phoenix. Ugh. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for a late switch-up in the plans for the weekend. A switch that leaves me driving my car to the retreat. At 9:00 in the morning. YIKES!!! The perk? I can load it tonight. Perk #2? I'm driving. I'm in control. Starbucks? Ab-so-freakin'-lutely.

I'm a little stressed out about having my plans changed on me at the last minute. Let me put it to you this way - - I was hesitant. I'm nervous about the new arrangement. For a number of reasons that I better leave un-said. Simply because the written word has come back to bite me in the butt TOO many times. Very recently, I might add. I know I have several stalkers. I vowed not to intentionally hurt anyone's feelings. So I'll just leave things as they are and say no more. Just know that tomorrow could be *very* interesting. Pray for safe travels and no lead in my foot. I don't have the safety net of being "ticket-free" anymore. So I can't speed and get there.

*sigh*

With all of that being said (clear as mud, I know) I shall sign off until Monday. I will leave you with...

GO SPURS GO!!!!

Scrapbook Retreat!!!

I leave for my Scrapbook Retreat on Thursday. THURSDAY!!! I finally uploaded my pictures last night. The mister picked them up for me today. I have a lot to do between now and then in order to prepare. I'm normally *way* ready by now. ACK!!!! So, expect less blogging from me this week.

Ciao.

The Results, Part Deux

Let me just say, I think I just kicked this house's arse. I *own* this place!

This time I...

  • swept the kitchen
  • swept the laundry room
  • started a load of laundry (the peed upon bath mat - - I also resisted the urge to hunt down the cat and kick her furry butt outside)
  • folded a load of laundry (put half of it away)
  • wiped down the counter and the toilet in the kid's bathroom
  • cleaned the mirror in their bathroom
  • took out the trash in their bathroom
  • finally, I cleaned up some craft stuff I've been working on and put in all in one bag

That's right. I am officially a Domestic Goddess. Try not to feel threatened by my righteous domestication.

Now go. Go and be the queen of your domain. Don't let your weekend frighten you. Clean away now and awaken Saturday to the glorious smell of fresh pine. Drink your coffee on Saturday morning guilt free. That's what I'm going to do. For I am B, Domestic Goddess and Trophy Wife.

The Results

Whew. That went by fast.

I...

  • cleaned off the kitchen counters and the bar
  • then I wiped them down with Clorox Anywhere (I *so* love the clean, fresh smell.)
  • picked up the kids stuff scattered all over the living room (and put it all away)
  • put the pillows back on the couch (does this job ever end?)
  • took out the kitchen trash (Yes, Husband, I know how to do this!)
  • made my bed (don't judge me)
  • took out my bathroom trash
  • hung up towels
  • wiped down Wii controlers so the Mister doesn't flip out about how sticky they are
  • transferred a freshly peed upon bathrug to the laundry room (Wheezer, if you hadn't just had surgery I'd so kick your butt.)

I feel so rejuvenated. Inspired actually. I'm going to see where 20 more minutes get me. This power cleaning rocks.

Be back shortly. Well, in twenty.

Twenty minute cleaning challenge...

They do these on a message board I'm a member of. I'm going to give it a whirl here. I need some inspiration. I'm going to start the timer and clean/pick stuff up for twenty minutes. Then I'll come back here and report what I got done. First I'll start a video for the kids so as to minimalize my distractions. No phone, no t.v., no computer. Twenty minutes devoted to my house.

See you in twenty...

Realistic Friendship Promises

1. When you are sad -- I will jump on the person who made you sad like a spider monkey jacked up on mountain dew.

2. When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.

3. When you smile -- I will know you are plotting something that I must be involved in.

4. When you are scared -- I will rag on you about it every chance I get.

5. When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining.

6. When you are confused -- I will use little words and draw pictures to explain.

7. When you are sick -- Stay away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have.

8. When you fall -- I will point and laugh at your clumsy butt.

A note to my concerned stalkers...

I did wake up feeling much more alert and rested.

Watch out world! She's back and ready to blog something!!!

Bwahahaha!!!!!!

I feel sorry for you...

...those of you I'm closest to anyway. My family and my friends. Why you ask? Because I didn't like me today. And if I didn't like me, there was a better than average chance that you didn't like me today either. Law of averages.

Why did I not like me today? Migraine yesterday. I had to go and get a shot for it. The kind of shot that knocks me out for the rest of the day. It also makes me quite "hazy" for the better part of the following day as well. That's where today was. Hazy. The trouble with being in this state is my temper is >*< short. My poor children. I know I snapped at them a lot today. I was just so short fused. Ugh. I hate the day after my injections. I feel like such a mean, momma bear. I also feel like I'm moving in slow motion and everything should be moving faster. It frustrates me.

Combine all of the above and you get one big crap-hole of a day.

The good news is that tomorrow I will most likely awaken feeling completely rested and ready to greet this world head-on. And I'm ready for that moment to arrive. I'm ready to feel alive and back in the game again. Bring. It. On!!!

Nevertheless, it's still today. And I'm wiped out. So - - I shall drag my sorry butt to bed. It's a miracle! I will be in bed with the lights out before midnight!!!!

peace
