Actual rain. Not the rain I spoke of on here before. (*snicker*) We have thunder, too. It's nice. So, so nice. It makes for a lazy Saturday. Just like I like 'em.
Ahhhhhh.....
Oh.
NO.
Hail. It's small. But it is, indeed, hailing. Pea size.
Here we go. Let the insanity begin. My freaking out.
And I was so excited to be lazy.
Crap.

Signs that I may have lost my mind...
Just some things I think about that make me wonder. You tell me what you think. Crazy or not?
1. I sometimes wonder what it would be like if our cats could fart out loud. Would it embarass them? (This thought was triggered by Justin trying to start up a round of "pull my finger" at the dinner table with his daddy last night.) I know they fart. I smell it. The mister said we don't hear it because they don't have big, floppy butts. Plus they are furry. Lucky them. (Not the furry part. I don't wish to have a furry bottom.)
2. I can't stand it when my pillow cases don't go on straight. I will re-do them. And re-do them. And re-do them... (Get the picture?) They must be on straight. No wrinkles. Period.
3. Kind of goes with the second one. I have ironed sheets before. Within the past year. The higher thread count ones really get wrinkled.
4. I have a myspace account. I am nearly 37. I also play with Webkinz. Again, I'm almost 37.
5. I am worried about tornado season already. It hasn't really rained in months. (Okay, a couple of fluke drops the other day. That wasn't even in the forecast.) But --I already fear the black clouds, hail stones and funnel clouds.
6. I wish I had a minivan.
7. When Heath Ledger died the other week, I immediatelty began to re-work my "list." That's messed up.
8. Big Brother starts tonight. Yesterday, I paid $39.95 to subscribe to the 24/7 live internet feed. That's right. I will have internet access to the uncensored parts of the show. All day, all night. I paid for it. As if I'm not on the computer enough already.
These are just a few. Am I nuts?

Casa Yoda
I went there. I was inspired there. I scrapped there. I laughed there. I ate there. I spent time with friends there. I laughed some more there.
It. Was. Phawesome.
Let me tell you - - Yoda has created her some "fantabulous" scrap space. It was like "scrapbook nirvana" for me. I was surrounded by people I love, doing something I really love. I didn't get a lot done, but I got some things done.
There is NO way I could talk the Mister into changing any room in our home into a scrap room. First of all, there really isn't one in which we could do that. Second of all, just, no. I have my six foot table and for that I really am grateful. It's perfect to spread my stuff out and work. But covet much? Yes - - I do. That rocked.
So Yoda and all of her peeps, thanks. I had the best time. I have missed playing with you girls. You have a fabulous set up there. Thanks for the invite. I *will* be joining you again. If you'll have me. :-)
(Oh - - and thanks for the birthday cheesecake!! So, so yummy. Well worth the cheat on my diet! I *heart* all of you so much.)

The Morning After
When I wake up the morning after I've posted on Ambien, I get nervous. I think, "Oh my, what did I say?" That wasn't too bad. I remember getting tired. I remember getting to nine and getting confused as to how to word what I was thinking. Then I remember thinking, ten? Why go to the trouble? Who cares? I always proof my late night work the next morning. I've been known to fix it before. (*snicker*)
Last night was the first night in almost a week that both boys have slept through the night. Ahhhh... that was nice. So nice. Actually, Justin hasn't coughed once yet this morning. (*knocks on wood*) I still kept him home from school. Just to be safe. Could I be that lucky? I never am. But it sure would be nice. Because, and file this one under TMI, this sickness stuff sure has wreaked havoc on the quality time with the mister - - if you know what I mean. *wink, wink* It's the worst dry spell ever. We're talking August in Death Valley. Will I remember how it all works? Wish me luck. Let's hope those kids go to bed early tonight. (Tee hee hee!!!!) Oh - - Baby Bro - I forgot you might read this. Did you just throw up in your throat a little?
Well - - Happy Friday everyone.
Smooches.

More fun on Ambien...
That got fun last night. Let's do it again. Here goes...
1. Survivor started tonight. Okay James. Hooking up with that skanky ho Parvati? What? No, no, NO! Think with your other brain, man. I have $5 riding on you again.
2. Jonny Fairplay. The talk on the message boards are that he "played" the producers. Some are saying that the "faves" got paid to come back to the show. If they are right and he gets paid regardless, why not go home? What a punk. As long as Eliza follows him out next, I think we are good.
3. Justin puked today. It appears as though he absolutely detests his antibiotic. It was in him, maybe ten seconds. He gagged. He choked. He spewed. He puked. Gross.
4. This coughing thing (I think I'll rename "The Consumption") has taken over our house. All the boys around here have it. The coughing is driving me mad. This mommy is teetering on the edge.
5. I had a breakdown of the Rosa's variety today. I had to have some chips and queso. It was a must have. And let me tell you - - I felt SO good after I ate it. Yum.
6. Romney "suspended" his campaign today. I know one blogger who might be doing backflips about this as I type. It appears that our soft drinks are safe. I'm too tired to talk about anything else that it could mean.
7. I got my hair cut. And I'm quite happy with it.
8. Our new furniture was delievered last week. So nice. I love it. Buh-bye card table. Hello you beauty in my kitchen. Your look is made for that corner. Perfect!!!
9. Small dillemma - I got my Simple Scrapbooks magazine in the mail yesterday. Along with a bill telling me that this would be my last one if I didn't pay for this renewal. Here's what I'm thinking, I'm going to read through the magazine and see if they deserve to have me continue to read them. Is this small magazine worth it? It's published bi-monthly. Kind of expensive already. Hmmm, I don't know. I'll rule on that one tomorrow afternoon. Keep or chunk. It is TBD at this time. I'll tell you what. Something pretty good better jump outta there and get my attention or I fear it vaya con dios for SS.
10. Too late for one more. It's time for bed.

Today - - just some random thoughts.
I've taken my Ambien already. So - - beware!
I can't stay on here long. I need to work on two loads of clothes. Then I will allow myself to go to bed.
Wow. One week ago today, I was NOT in a pretty place. That whole peeing gravel thing is ugly. I don't care who you are. I'm glad it's today and not that day. Yuck.
Today is a happy day. One of the many meds I take is now available in generic form. Woo hoo! That saves us some $$. That makes Husband real happy.
I get my hair cut tomorrow. Finally. The one right after the highlights is always the one that needs it the worst. I look so nappy. I do, however, have a small problem. Justin is sick. He will not be attending preschool tomorrow. My mom has agreed to watch him for the brief time it takes for my haircut. I had to promise her that I wouldn't "fart around" and I'd come sraight back after my appointment. Which, I will. I've just GOT to get my hair cut. I can't take one more day of this mop.
We re-tried Husband's birthday dinner. I made chicken lasagna on Tuesday. Oh my. That stuff is SO good. I even made him a cheesecake. I didn't eat one slice of it. I wanted to. But I didn't. I was a good girl.
Survivor starts tomorrow. Yes, yes, YES!!!!! I can't wait for that to start. And then Big Brother is right around the corner.
I also got a get well card from Granna today. *sigh* I wish she lived closer. I just miss GrandDaddy so much though. So much. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him. *more sighing* He is with Jesus now. I can't argue with that!
I'm worried about some of my peeps. Strange things are going on out there. Is everyone okay?
My meds are doing things to me. I need to go.
Hasta later.

I got stoned!
Did I get your attention? I thought so.
No, I didn't do drugs. Not illegal ones anyway. They were perfectly legal. And necessary. I took them in order to survive passing the five, yes I said FIVE kidney stones that invaded my body.
Sweet Fancy Moses!
It all started last week. I was hurting in my lower back and it moved its way into my abdomen. I just though it was lower back pain. Then I just thought it was, ummmm, you know, digestive. So - - I went to the potty. Apparently that pushed things along. Because when I stood up, I couldn't stand up. Know what I mean? The pain was freakin' unbearable. I writhed around in pain for a couple of hours, took a couple of Husband's vicodin and NOTHING. At this juncture, the kids were asleep, so I drove myself to the e.r. I thought I was dying.
They hooked me up to an I.V. and gave me demerol, toradol and phenergan. (Suspecting kidney stones after I described my pain.) I also had a CAT scan. The doc came back in the room and said the good news was that he confirmed the stone diagnosis. (Heh. Good news. That's debatable.) The bad news was that there were more in my kidneys. Both of them. What?
He said they would treat it with the drugs, wait it out and then send me home. I'd just need someone to drive me home. Crap. I called Husband. He was thrilled at the prospect of coming to get me. He got the kids up and came down to the hospital. I sort of remember that. The doc told me to follow up with a urologist.
Since we left Husband's truck down there, we had to go back and get it the next morning. I picked Husband up at work and took him back down there. On the way back home, I called the urologist and worked on getting an appointment. I was still in quite a bit of pain. They said that if I could come in right then, they'd work me in. Excellent. I called Husband and broke the news. He was actually quite sympathetic. (I think at this juncture, he figured out that I wasn't just being my usual wimp self and I was really hurting.) He met me at the house (where I'd arrived - - with sick Cam - - yes - - did I mention that in the mean time, he is running 104 fever and has major bronchitis?) I left (in our car - - with the car seats) and went to the doc. Another one hit while I was driving there. OMG!!! The pain.
I could barely walk in the doc's office. He said it was definitely stones and he would admit me to control the pain. What? Husband was going to love this. Number one, I had the car. Number two, it was his freaking birthday. Number three, he had a massage scheduled for 5:00 that afternoon. Number four, hospital? For real? This must be serious.
I got there and get hooked up to my stuff. I passed the first two moments after my arrival. That first one was pretty big. The I.V.'s sucked. She couldn't get a stinkin' vein. I look like a crack addict. My arms are all bruised. It's nuts. I spent three nights in the hospital. What made it tolerable? The Demerol pump. I could pump it every ten minutes. I didn't use it that much. But when I hurt, I pushed the button. The down side? It was the hospital. They come in all the time to take your blood pressure, your temperature, and they had to "strain my urine." Not just that, but they had to advertise the fact that they were doing it. There was a bright red sign on the door to my room. Nice. Also, some dude a door or two down might be short a lung, because I'm quite sure he barfed one up. Not a pleasant sound. Kim heard it. She was there bringing me some necessities from home. (Muchas Gracias, Chica!) It was kind of hard for Husband to bring me anything with a sick child and with the car seat situation.
I was dismissed Sunday just before lunch and glad to be home. I still have some stones left in my kidneys. I might eventually have to have a procedure called a lithotripsy. That's where they blast the stones while they are still in your kidneys. You still have to pass them though. What fun.
The best comparison I heard was that it's like peeing gravel. So true. That part was nothing compared to the pain in my back though. Oye.
I'm home now. And feeling much better. I'm sore. Probably from cramping. I hope I'm done with this for a while. One other good thing? I lost more weight. 3.3 pounds this week! Not a great way to do it, but I'll take it. That puts my total so far at 10.2 pounds. Woo hoo!
